Time to Start Again

I always make time to read everyone's blog and never make time for my own. I originally started this sooo long ago so I could look back and reflect on the events of the years. Honestly some events are not ones I want to revisit woes but others are. My kids are growing up literally right before my eyes and I wish I had a pause button or slow speed button like on the DVD remote. I think when I was serving as Relief Society Pres. I found time to be of the essence and did not make time for blogging.
I am not making any major resolutions this year other than the standard ones ex: exercise more, eat better, wean myself from sugar addiction I have. You know the usual things. But I am resolving to blog on my family blog page more and keep record of the wonderful events and daily moments that happen with my wonderful family. So thank you to all the bloggers who inspire me. (Jenn(sister in law), Michelle,Kim Rose(my sister in laws sister), Anne Averette.

SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS

HERE WE GO STEELERS!!! Unless you have been living under a rock you know by now that the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl on Sunday!
They had to wait and win right down to the wire and scare me to death.I thought Sam was going to start praying when the Cardinals scored their last touchdown! But they turned it around like they always seem to do and WIN It!!!!We are a family of Steeler fans.We did not have much of a choice.I married one and my children were born into it. I would hate to think what would happen if one of them decided to rebel YIKES! We all support Alex and Sam and their obsession with football. I must say their excitement has managed to recruit us and we all have the mandatory Steeler apparel and Terrible Towels.I posted some pictures from the big day. I also posted a picture of Olivia and Sam when they were 4yrs old and 2yrs old. I had this taken for Alex as a Christmas present that year . Where did my two sweet babies go? I was thinking back on that day and remembering that I was stressed because I still had to go pick up one of the jersey's at the JCP store and make Olivia a headband to match and squeeze the appointment at the photography studio in before Sam's nap.I thought that was hard with only 2 kids at the time and now we have 4 and I am going non stop. Lesson learned --- Try and I say try to enjoy the journey every step of the way because it is gone as fast as it arrives.

It's About Time !!

This is my first post and it is so appropriately titled . I finally decided to give this blog thing a try and decided to get it going while I was out of school for the Christmas Break. Um, okay that was a month and a few days ago. Many excuses could be told but they are not really worth listing. I am quite the procrastinator with the best of intentions. I mostly decided to start this for a few reasons. One is because we are always looking at our family's blogs and pictures and staying up to date with them and I wanted the same for them to see us since we are across the country from the Diaz side of the family. Two was because I am not a scrapbooker although I want to be time is not on my side right now. So a blog is the next best way to keep track of our family and I want to print it then at the end of the year. So, yeah It's about time I actually made the first post. I have been waiting for a photo to accompany the home page and I am learning to add photos with my posts. So to all my family just be patient I will get there.

Since the first of the year nothing to exciting has been going on. Here is a update on each of the kids. Olivia is busy with tryouts for the Spring play- High School Musical. She is working on her Personal Progress. She recently cut her hair for the Pantene Beautiful Lengths(8") campaign. Thanks to Leilani for telling me about Pantene. Olivia looks really cute and I think she is over the trauma of cutting her hair because she knows it is going to someone who needs it. Sam has just recently become part of the Young Men and we are so proud of him and his testimony that is growing. Tonight he had a academic bowl meet and the coolest thing happened. His school was down by 25 points and his team seemed discouraged and then a question was read and it was about the Saints traveling with handcarts from Nauvoo. "What is the religion that these people were a part of ?" I heard Sam buzz in and say The Mormons. He was correct of course and that opened up 4 bonus questions for his team to answer. Sam of course being the only LDS kid knew all the answers. I was so proud of him telling all his teammates the answers and putting them back in the round. He was so proud to tell them why he knew the answers. I love his confidence when it comes to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Isabel is trying out for the 4-5th grade Spring Play. She is making excellent grades and we are so happy for her. Sophia adjusted to 1st grade quickly. She is reading at a almost third grade level and I am so proud of her. She keeps her teacher on her toes all day but Ms. Stipe wouldn't have it any other way. Sophia is still her adventurous self. Always drawing and coloring and what an imagination she has ! Alex is back to running the Best Buy in Peachtree City and anxiously awaiting the Super Bowl on Sunday. GO STEELERS!!!! We are all excited. It is hard not to be.
I am busy as usual.I have not met a mom of 4 that is not continuouslly busy. I will be renting a small space in a store here in Newnan to sell my girly accessories.Very excited about that!Trying to be better organized this year in my life, house and with my time.Wish me Luck!!
